PitchUp x Australian Sports Commission - FA State of Play Questionnaire

PitchUp is partnering with the Australian Sports Commission through its innovation program The Park to address a common challenge faced by clubs across Australian sport: access to suitable places to train and play. Through this pilot, PitchUp is working with national sporting organisations to better understand where facility demand exceeds supply, which regions and participant groups are most affected, and what types of venues are hardest to access.

This questionnaire is designed to capture practical, sport-specific insights into participation growth, facility availability, scheduling pressures and the day-to-day barriers clubs experience when trying to secure space, so we can identify ways to unlock more venues and support sustainable participation for Football Australia.

You’ve been invited to take part because your national sporting organisation has identified your club or association as experiencing facility access constraints. Your responses will help inform an ASC-supported effort focused on improving access at a local level. The more accurately you can share your experiences, the better positioned we will be to help reduce friction, streamline access and create more opportunities for your club to train, play and grow participation. As part of this ASC-supported pilot, PitchUp is offering to work alongside clubs that are seeking to grow participation but are currently limited by the availability of fit-for-purpose places to train and play, with no cost or obligation attached.
